Another example of the business community coming together to reduce the spread of COVID-19. On April 7, Kardish Health Food Centre, Ottawa’s largest health food retailer, launched their free same-day grocery delivery and curb-side pickup program. The program enables customers to get food and supplies delivered to them at their homes, while encouraging social distancing and preventing the spread of COVID-19.
“Many of our customers have significant health needs, including seniors and those who are immunocompromised,” said Robert Assaf, president and co-owner of Kardish. “Kardish wants to do our part to reduce transmission of COVID-19 and make sure our customers can get the essentials they need. That’s why we launched this program at no cost – it’s the right thing to do for our community.”
Assaf added that they have had an overwhelming response from their customers.
To make an order, customers can call a product expert at 613-224-1414 or submit an online order at www.kardish.com. There is no minimum order size and orders are fulfilled in the same day (when made before 4 p.m.). Retail locations remain open with reduced hours and social distancing measures in place.
“Kardish is proud to protect our customers and community,” said Assaf. “We hope everyone can stay safe and healthy at this challenging time.”
Kardish Health Food Centre was founded in 1979 and has received many awards as an industry and community leader over the years as they help their customers discover well-being solutions that work.
Kardish has locations at 499 Terry Fox Drive and 1831 Robertson Road to serve the residents of Stittsville.
