Two local businesses are coming together to offer visitors a unique way to experience the Ottawa region from both the sky and the vineyard. Looking for that ideal day trip? Take a scenic flight in Ottawa Aviation Advenures’ vintage 1940 Waco Aircraft over the Canadian Tire Centre and some light aerobatic maneuvers to experience the thrill that aviation brings to people and then head over to KIN Vineyards to enjoy a flight of their homemade wine.
Ottawa Aviation Adventures, based at Carp Airport, and KIN Vineyards, located in Carp and known for its handcrafted wines, have partnered to create a new experience that combines an unforgettable scenic flight with a relaxing wine tasting.
The collaboration brings together two very different perspectives of the region. Guests can take to the skies aboard one of Ottawa Aviation Adventures’ vintage aircraft, enjoying an aerial view of Ottawa and its surrounding communities before heading to KIN Vineyards to experience a flight of locally crafted wine.
The partnership was created around a simple idea: allow visitors to experience two kinds of “flight” in one day.
“We wanted to create something that connects the excitement of aviation with the relaxed, local experience of a vineyard,” said Greg Reynolds of Ottawa Aviation Adventures. “Both businesses offer experiences that people remember, and this partnership allows us to showcase two unique sides of the Ottawa region.”
At KIN Vineyards, guests can slow down and enjoy a selection of handcrafted wines in a setting designed for discovering local flavours. Combined with an aerial tour from Ottawa Aviation Adventures, the experience offers a distinctive day out for both aviation enthusiasts and those simply looking for something different to do in the Ottawa area.
The collaboration also highlights the value of local businesses working together to create new tourism experiences. By connecting aviation, local wine and regional tourism, the two companies hope to encourage visitors and residents alike to explore more of what the Ottawa region has to offer.
