Last week for Nunsense playing at Kanata Theatre

We’ve heard that Nunsense currently running at the Kanata Theatre is well worth seeing. The final week of the production starts up on Wednesday, May 21 and runs through to Saturday, May 25th at 8:00 pm each evening. You are always guaranteed to see quality productions from this local theatre.

Here is a little bit of what the play is about. Nunsense follows the crazy antics of five nuns from the Little Sisters of Hoboken convent. When their cook accidentally serves up some tainted soup, 52 of the sisters are poisoned and die, leaving only five living nuns who were not at home the day of the toxic meal. When the sisters find themselves strapped for cash, the nuns decide to put on a benefit performance in order to raise the rest of the money before the health department discovers their “chilling” secret. The production is Produced by Dan Goggin, Directed by Ronald Gardner with Musical Direction provided by Tobi DuMoulin.

One of Stittsville Central’s readers Edna Knight, raved — “Just saw a wonderful musical over at the Ron Maislin Theatre. A fine orchestra and five jolly nuns up to all sorts of antics to raise funds for their convent. What a gem we have in west Ottawa. Three cheers!!!”

If you are up to a funny production — do take in Nunsense, but you better hurry — there are only about 100 tickets left.
