LEGION: Family breakfast on Feb 7 and more upcoming events

UPCOMING EVENTS
The next monthly family breakfast will be held on Sunday, February 7th from 9 a.m to 12 noon. The cost is $6.00 per person. everyone in the community is ‘WELCOME’.
On February 13th starting at 6 p.m. A Valentine’s Day Cabaret with the Stittsville Male Chorus, they will sing three times throughout the 3 course dinner with a silent auction going on and then at 9 p.m. we will start music and dance with “Four Way Split” all this at the Stittsville Legion Hall, Main Street Stittsville. Tickets are $25.00 per person. Bring your special person to this wonderful evening.
DARTS: Mixed Trips Tournament will be held on Saturday, February 27th with 3 players per team. The cost will be $30.00 per team and you must pre register for this event being held at the Stittsville Legion. For more information contact Bill Vail at or Tracey Boss at .

WEEKLY EVENTS:
“OPEN MIC and SING-A-LONG” with Bill Martin starts at 8 p.m. in the downstairs lounge every Friday. Come and join in the Country and Rock music, fun and comradeship. Open to everyone.
Euchre hosted by the Legion’s  55 Plus Club is played every Tuesday  at 1 p.m at the Legion Hall.
EUCHRE: Dave Faubert had the Men,s High Score with Johnnie Leroux placing second. Shirley Pretty had the Ladies High Score with Shirley Belanger placing second. Ken Campbell had the Most Lone Hands with Lorraine Gillies having the Hidden Score. Dene Lavergne had the Low Score.
Knitting and Crocheting Club starting at 6:30 p.m. every Monday except for holidays. Lessons are available “FREE” learn how to crochet and/or knit and read patterns. We still continue to support the hospitals by making baby bonnets and pic line covers. If you need more information contact . CHILI COOK OFF RESULTS
Monique Vail came first with Sherry Lalonde placing second. Bev Morley came in third with Cathy Nealson placing fourth.  Most spiciest went to Barb Carr, Meatiest went to Barb Forbes. Congratulation to you all.   Ellen Johnston  who organized this great event would like to thank Shad Qadri, Randall Moore from CHEZ 106 Radio Station and Justin Phillips from the Redblacks Football Team, for judging all the Chili’s.
Any veteran or spouse who would like to speak to the Provincial Service Officer should sign the form at the Legion or phone the Branch Service Officer (Ron Currie) at before February 3rd.  The Provincial Service Officer will be making a visit to the Branch during the week of February 13th. All those who sign up will be notified of the exact date and time by February 8th.

Forms are now available at the Stittsville Legion for 2016 Student Bursaries. Please note that family military background is compulsory. The deadline to have forms into the Legion is April 30th, 2016.
