LEGION: New Year’s Eve, January 1 Levee and more

New Year’s Eve: Tickets are now on sale at the Legion Bar. Tickets are $35.00 per person with fun and great dance music  starting at 8 p.m. with “Gib Rozon” Band. A  buffet with bubbly toast at midnight with balloon drop and party favours will be held.
On January 1st the Stittsville Legion  will hold it’s annual LEVEE with  food and entertainment starting at 2 p.m. with “Sands of Time” entertaining. Please join our veterans for a relaxed afternoon of comradeship.
On January 6th the next bus trip to the Slots at the Rideau Carleton Raceway organized by the 55 Plus Club of the Legion. The bus will leave the Johnny Leroux Stittsville Community Arena at 11:30 a.m.  To reserve a seat or for more information call Marion Gullock at .


The next monthly family breakfast will be held on Sunday, January 10th for the low cost of $6.00 per person. These events are open to the entire community.
On January 16th there will be a CHILLI COOK OFF  with a Beer and Spirit tasting.  there will be a $5.00 cover charge to taste. This should be a fun fun evening.
“OPEN MIC and SING-A-LONG” with Bill Martin starts at 8 p.m. in the downstairs lounge every Friday. Come and join in the Country and Rock music, fun and comradeship. Open to everyone.
Euchre hosted by the Legion’s  55 Plus Club is played every Tuesday  at 1 p.m at the Legion Hall.
EUCHRE:  Phil Viau had the Men,s High Score with Leo Muldoon placing second. Chris Forbes had the Ladies High Score with Myrna Robertson placing second. Brenda Seguin had the Most Lone Hands with Dick Ross having the Hidden Score.  Marion Gullock had the Low Score.
Knitting and Crocheting Club starting at 6:30 p.m. every Monday except for holidays. Lessons are available “FREE” learn how to crochet and/or knit and read patterns. BOOK CLUB:  The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 26th at 7:00 p.m.  Book of the Month is “Alias Grace” by Margaret Atwood. This club is open to everyone who loves to read.
