New Year’s Eve: Tickets are now on sale at the Legion Bar. Tickets are $35.00 per person with fun and great dance music starting at 8 p.m. with “Gibbb Rozon” Band. A buffet with bubbly toast at midnight with balloon drop and party favours will be held.
On January 1 the Stittsville Legion will hold it’s annual LEVY with food and entertainment starting at 2 p.m. with “Hands of Time” entertaining. Please join our veterans for a relaxed afternoon of comradeship.
On January 6 the next bus trip to the Slots at the Rideau Carleton Raceway organized by the 55 Plus Club of the Legion. The bus will leave the Johnny Leroux Stittsville Community Arena at 11:30 a.m. To reserve a seat or for more information call Marion Gullock at .
The next monthly family breakfast will be held on Sunday, January 10 for the low cost of $6.00 per person. These events are open to the entire community.
On January 16 there will be a CHILI COOK OFF. More information to follow on this event.
WEEKLY EVENTS:
“OPEN MIC and SING-A-LONG” with Bill Martin starts at 8 p.m. in the downstairs lounge every Friday. Come and join in the Country and Rock music, fun and comradeship. Open to everyone.
Euchre hosted by the Legion’s 55 Plus Club is played every Tuesday at 1 p.m at the Legion Hall. (On Tuesday, December 15th, Bob Belanger had the most lone hands with Lynda Viau having the Ladies High Score. Cheryl Kelly placed second. Leo Muldoon had the Men’s High Score with Larry Romard placing second. The low score was won by Eva Brown and the Hidden Score was won by Shiela Casagrande.)
Knitting and Crocheting Club starting at 6:30 p.m. every Monday except for holidays. Lessons are available “FREE” learn how to crochet and/or knit and read patterns.
