Local skater of Disney on Ice fame, Alex Gunther, has entered into a new venture. With three partners, Personal Product Guys (PPG) was initiated from their personal concerns for our environment and the green movement happening in countries worldwide. Joining Alex in this new start-up are long-time friends: Pat Poitevin, Derek O’Connell and Eric Wilson.

The four partners each have their individual passions regarding the environment, but recognized the influence they can exhibit together by starting here at home in Canada. As a team, they want to educate the public on the importance of using products that are ‘compostable disposables’ and pride themselves on being a proactive company.

The plant based products being retailed are wholly eco-friendly and compostable. The containers are made entirely of recycled, compostable fibers. Each product is certified internationally by recognized standards. The products can be personalized with a company logo and message using environmentally friendly inks.

With the leading environmental movement in Europe and Canada’s forthcoming ban on the use of plastics, Personal Product Guys have developed an early niche in the market — one that Canadians will be seeking out.

“The vision of PPG is to be recognized as the leader of high-quality, affordable, eco-friendly alternatives for businesses and restaurants of all sizes and we are willing to work day in and day out to make sure that we achieve these goals.”
