Bill Wardsays:
Hello, I was on the front cover of I believe the Richmond News back in 1976 or close, shot of me playing tennis in Manotick. I would love to show my daughter but cant find anyplace to help. Thought perhaps the library could help or you could point me in the right direction……hello from Capetown and thankyou.
Hi Bill – we can certainly assist you and you are welcome. The Stittsville Branch of the Library has all of the older issues of the Stittsville News (that also covered Richmond and area) available on microfiche. Your daughter can go to the branch and ask at reception to have access to the microfiche copies (they are not kept out for public access and are stored in a back office). If you know the approximate date, that would be more than helpful for the library staff to find the issue. If she brings along a memory stick, she will also be able to save it to have a copy for herself and can then share it with you. I hope this helps and good luck with finding the photo.
