Minto is asking Stittsville residents to help name their new community just north of Hazeldean Road in Stittsville.  They’re holding a naming contest with a $500 prize to Brown’s Independent up for grabs.

Minto’s community is just west of the existing Jackson Trails, and sales are scheduled to launch in the fall of 2015.  The community will include 450 homes, with about 60% single homes and 40% townhomes.   It’s Minto’s first development in Stittsville.

The naming contest is open now and runs until January 11, 2015.  You can enter the contest at www.mintostittsville.com.

Minto says this contest is a chance to be a part of Stittsville history. The company has been involved in residential development in Ottawa for almost 60 years and this is their first development in Stittsville.

Minto calls the new development a “master-planned communtiy”, which will include a large neighbourhood park.  It’s also close to shops and services, transit and nature.

Minto is also building the nearby Arcadia neighbourhood in Kanata, just north of the Queensway along Huntmar.

For updates on the new Stittsville community and special offers, you can sign up to Minto’s email newsletter at www.mintostittsville.com.
