Minto Communities Canada will unveil four new designer-decorated show homes in its Arcadia community, as part of Minto’s line-up of single family homes. The newly designed show homes, in keeping with Minto’s vision to build homes that suit the needs of families today, are available on 30, 36 and 43’ lots across Minto communities in Ottawa.

New design concepts feature open and bright living spaces with bigger windows for more natural light throughout the home. Home buyers are offered the opportunity to personalize with additional investment options including gym and yoga space, mud rooms complete with dog baths and floor-to -ceiling fireplaces. All homes include additional storage space and fully insulated recreation room-ready basements.

“These fresh designs demonstrate Minto’s ongoing commitment to innovation paired with more sustainable and functional features,” says Brent Strachan, Senior Vice President, Minto Communities Canada. “The needs of Ottawa home buyers guide our design process as we create better places for people to live, work and play. And with 60 years in the market, that’s an important part of the Minto legacy.”

The Killarney is the first of five Net Zero energy ready homes coming to the Arcadia community. Projecting a 65 per cent reduction in total home energy consumption, the home is positioned to further offset remaining energy use with optional solar panels. The Killarney features a walkout basement with bar, separate gym and mud room with dog bath spread out over 2,406 sq. ft.

The Talbot home is an impressive contemporary design corner lot home with double-car garage and large windows on three sides, allowing for an abundance of natural light. This 1,813 sq. ft. home houses multiple features and options for personalization on the 30’ lot. The oversized porch provides additional exterior curb appeal and the interior impresses with ceramic tile flooring and optional floor to ceiling fireplace in the great room.

The Hyde home’s open concept showcases a large gourmet kitchen with an island, separate dining room space and 9’ ceilings on the main floor. Additional investment features include upgraded millwork, optional kitchen layout and a modern glass railing to the second floor of the home and a finished basement complete with a kids play area.

The Fitzroy offers a rear fireplace as a focal point from the entrance. A large island with an oversized breakfast bar is ideal for entertaining or family gatherings, and a curved stair feature leads to large windows, bringing in natural light. Additional features include a stand-alone tub, 5’ shower and master suite complete with two walk-in closets.

The four newly designed show homes are open for viewing as of Saturday, September 26 in Minto’s Arcadia community in Kanata, just north of Stittsville. Visit minto.com for more details.
