New OC Transpo route 162 will serve Stittsville starting late June

In his weekly email newsletter, City Councillor Shad Qadri announced plans for a new off-peak OC Transpo bus route that will serve Stittsville residents starting in June.

(UPDATE: Route 96A will become route 92 in June.)

He also said a public meeting with residents and OC Transpo is planned for sometime in May.

The first day of service for route 162 will be Monday, June 29th, 2015. The route will operate between Terry Fox Station and WestridgeDr/Fernbank Rd outside of peak periods. From Stittsville Main St and West Ridge Route 162 will operate along West Ridge Dr, Kittiwake Dr, Carp Rd, Hazeldean Rd, Johnwoods St, Maple Grove Rd, Huntmar Rd, Palladium Dr, and Campeau Dr to service the Tanger Outlets then continue Palladium Dr, Katimavik Rd and Castlefrank Rd to Terry Fox Station. 

Route 162 service will operate every 60 minutes during the following time periods: 

– Monday to Friday during the hours of: 1:00pm – 3:00pm and 7:00pm – 11:00pm
– Saturday during the hours of 8:00am – 10:00pm
– Sunday – no Route 162 service
