CST Brands, Inc. is pleased to announce the official opening of a new Corner Store with an Ultramar service station located at 5943 Hazeldan Road. Residents and motorists passing through Stittsville now have a new Corner Store where they can stop for a wide selection of grocery items, a quick Grab ‘n Go lunch, products from the Transit Café line, a car wash and a tank full of gas.
To mark the official opening, management offered fuel and merchandise discount card giveaways, fuel discounts at the pump, food tastings, a lucky wheel and other surprises last Friday and Saturday (November 18 and 19). The event was a major success.
“We are thrilled with the Corner Store opening in Stittsville. The services offered, the diversity of food products and the economic impact will all be a boon to the area.” said Mario Sauvé, Regional Vice-President, Canada, CST Brands, Inc. “CST is always looking for opportunities to better serve our customers and contribute to the development of the communities where we operate. We’re proud to be expanding in Ontario with a third Corner Store in Stittsville.”
Operations at the 3,500-square foot establishment have resulted in 10 new jobs, both full-time and part-time, under the supervision of manager Ember Forbes. In addition to grocery products, the new Corner Store includes products from the Transit Café line, ready-to-go lunches, a car wash and a TD ATM.
Community engagement is a core value at CST. That is why all Corner Stores employees are encouraged to get involved with a non-profit organization that supports children. Employees of the brand-new Corner Store in Stittsville will volunteer with the non-profit organization of their choice and give a generous financial contribution through the Corner Store Foundation.
