Volunteers are a vital component to life in our community. They are the unsung heroes who put in countless hours behind the scenes to make things happen.

We are now accepting nominations for the inaugural Stittsville Village Association Volunteer of the Year Award, which will recognize a local volunteer for their dedicated service to Stittsville.

Nominees must be residents living in Stittsville Ward, and can be of any age. We are looking for individuals who, through volunteering, have had a positive impact in our community in 2016.

Nominations can be sent to stittsvillevillage@gmail.com. Please include the name of the individual, and a short description of why they would be deserving of this award. If possible, please include contact info for the nominee such as email address and phone number. Deadline is September 30, 2016.

The award will be presented at the SVA’s annual general meeting in November.
