NOTEBOOK: Two more businesses come to Stittsville Main

Pottery Playhouse on Stittsville Main

Well, one on Stittsville Main and one kind of off Stittsville Main, but close enough.

First,  The Pottery Playhouse, owned by Deborah Rothenberg,  has relocated from the Shoppers Drug Mart / Napoli’s plaza to 1501 Stittsville Main, in the historic core of the old village.  The building was previously home to With Love Bridal Boutique, who moved to Carleton Place.  A century ago, the building was home to a bank and a grocery store.

The second business is Rekha Chagarlamudi Child and Family Therapy. She’s just finished a renovation of the house at 1418 Stittsville Main, but if you’re looking for it, you’ll find it closer to Warner-Colpitts / Mulkins across from the Johnny Leroux Arena.

“Rekha has had the privilege of addressing the emotional and mental health needs of individuals, couples, and families for over 15 years,” says a bio on her web site. ” Through her established practice in the Ottawa area, Rekha has developed a strong working relationship with local schools, healthcare facilities, as well as medical and legal professionals. In addition to her private practice, she also provides supervision to developing therapists and mentors graduate students through Carleton University’s Alumni program.”

Welcome to the neighbourhood!
