Stittsville flower shop Pretty Pots was one of the local florists that decorated at home in this year’s Homes for the Holidays fundraising house tour.
Homes for the Holidays is a community fund-raising event presented by the Taggart Parkes Foundation and supports end-of-life care and service programs offered by Hospice Care Ottawa.
This year’s event took place from November 14-16 and featured eight homes in Ottawa.
“Each florist along with the homeowner is responsible for decorating the home that is chosen for them inside and out for Christmas,” says Pretty Pots owner Shannon Gorman.
“We donate our time and product for the duration of the tour which is a huge undertaking but a great experience for myself and my team. I believe it’s something like 2000 people that go through these homes over 3 days,” she says.
The home that Gorman and staff decorated is a large house on Marley Lane in Kanata North. It will be featured in the next issue of Ottawa at Home, out this Friday.
Pretty Pots is one of the local businesses participating in Support Local Stittsville on Saturday, December 6. Click here for info…
