Results of public high school survey will be presented to school board on June 16

Here’s an email from the Stittsville Public High School Now group.  They’ll be presenting the results of their survey, in advance of the Ministry of Education’s deadline for school boards to submit their list of capital priorities.

PLEASE join us at the Ottawa Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) Public Committee of the Whole meeting on Tuesday, June 16th at 7:30pm at 133 Greenbank Road to support our delegation in lobbying for a Public High School in Stittsville.

We will be presenting the results from our recent community survey. If you haven’t done so already, please complete the survey as we’ll be using all results that we receive before June 15 at 5pm ET

The Ministry of Education has just put out a call to school boards to submit their lists for capital priorities by July 15th for projects that will be required to be opened no later than the 2018-2019 school year. The OCDSB meeting on June 16th is our best opportunity to be heard before the list is submitted. The last time the OCDSB submitted a list, in October 2013, a Stittsville Public High School was number 4. Currently, it is number 2. We need to keep it there or move it to number 1!
We have never been this close – please join us next week!
