Explore your sense of taste, smell, and touch during the second annual Savour the Senses virtual event on Saturday, October 23rd, in support of DeafBlind Ontario Foundation.
The intimate, entertaining, and informative virtual event will be 90 minutes long. During that hour-and-a-half, a chocolatier, sommelier, and whiskey maker will discuss pairings and more while guests experience the intertwining flavours of fine chocolate, wine, and moonshine.
Prior to Savour the Senses, guests will receive a package – via contactless delivery – containing three varieties of fine chocolate, two bottles of wine, and a moonshine sampler for two.
“Savour the Senses is a great event to learn how to pair wines, chocolate, and food in an unpretentious way. Because it’s from the comfort of your own home, you don’t need to dress up, book a sitter, or have a designated driver,” said Susan Manahan, Director of Development and Communications at DeafBlind Ontario Services.
A new addition to this year’s event is an online auction, which goes live two weeks prior to the event and is open to everyone – not just guests of the virtual event.
Presented by the Lions Club of Russell, Savour the Senses supports DeafBlind Ontario Services, a non-profit organization that provides individuals who are Deaf, hard of hearing, non-verbal, and deafblind with an array of services to allow them to live and thrive within a community.
“Whether you’re an expert looking to increase your knowledge while sampling different wines or someone looking for something unique to do, you’re invited to make a difference in the lives of people we support.”
Savour the Senses takes place from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23rd. Visit deafblindontario.com for tickets by October 7 or call 1-855-340-3267, ext. 289.
