The Ottawa Cheer Sport Sharks have two teams heading to Orlando, Florida for the 2016 World Cheerleading Championships!
The Finback and Pacific Sharks both won their bids to Worlds at the Kicks Competition in Montreal on March 20, 2016. They competed hard all season with the reward in their hands as they head to Walt Disney World in Florida to compete in the 2016 World Cheerleading Championships on April 22nd through to April 25th.
The Sharks will be hosting a free community event at their gym at 119 Iber Road in Stittsville on Sunday, May 1st from 11 am to 1 pm where they will be showcasing all of their teams including the two Worlds teams fresh on their return from Worlds 2016. This is a great opportunity to see what all star cheerleading is all about! There will be a BBQ on site as well.
Now is a great time to become a Shark as the Sharks have a brand new facility on Iber Road that they will be moving into for the new season with two full sprung floors!! Tryouts for the upcoming 2016-17 season begin on May 1st following the showcase from 2 to 6 pm; Tuesday, May 3rd from 5 to 9 pm; Thursday, May 5th from 5 to 9 pm and the Worlds tryouts will take place onSaturday, May 7th from 10 am to 12 pm.
