The SKM Software Stingers of Stittsville participated in the PlayOn tournament on June 3 and 4. This year’s tournament was held out at the Rockcliffe Flying Club out on the runway. The team was coming off a second place finish in 2016 and wanted to see if they could better it this year.
They competed in the U9 division and were undefeated, finishing second out of nine teams in the preliminary round. They again made it all the way to the finals, this time there was a change in fortune winning 6-5 in a shootout win in the final. The SKM Software Stingers were once again the only team from Stittsville to make the finals and win in any division.
