The West Ottawa Soccer Club (WOSC), Canada’s second largest club, is pleased to announce that Steve MacNeil assumed the role of General Manager effective February 23.

MacNeil joins WOSC with 15 years of sport medicine business experience and over two decades of sports management experience, most recently as President of the Eastern Ontario Rugby Union. His management experiences range from grassroots youth programming to elite athlete development and organizing international sporting events, including the North American Caribbean Rugby 7s Championship in 2012. His passion for sports excellence, his education, and his business acumen make him the ideal individual to be the General Manager of WOSC.

The General Manager is responsible for all facets of Club operations including leadership and management of staff, facility management, financial planning and working with the BOD to further WOSC’s vision to be the leader in Player Development 4 Life. “After three years of an unprecedented growth and expansion, WOSC is at a critical point in our development, and we believe his appointment will help us build on our successes, and support our growth to the next level,” enthused President Brian Mason.

“It is a very exciting time for West Ottawa Soccer. With an established club vision and strategy in place, the Club has so many opportunities available to it. Working with our members, we will solidify WOSC as the definitive choice for recreational, representative and adult soccer in our region,” says MacNeil.

We invite all of our members, players, participants and community partners to welcome Steve to the WOSC family.
