At the Wednesday, March 13 meeting of the Stittsville & District Lions Club, a special presentation took place. From the many donations received from community members and businesses, a cheque for over $19,000 was presented to the Dunrobin tornado victims.
Greg Patacaik, President of the Dunrobin Community Association was present to accept the cheque on behalf of the residents. He gave an update of the current situation in Dunrobin and thanked the Lions Club for the good work that will be done with this generous donation for our neighbours in Dunrobin.

The money was raised by the Stittsville & District Lions Club from many residents and businesses in Stittsville. Lions member, Darryl Metzger, organized the fundraising campaign and proudly emphasized the generosity of the Stittsville community in supporting the Dunrobin tornado relief fund.

This cheque presentation was over and above the previous personal donation of $2,500 donated by the Lions Club members.
