Stittsville Lions Club holding electronic waste collection day

Do you have electronic waste waiting for a new home and cluttering up your basement? On April 27 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, you can drop off your unwanted electronics at the Stittsville & District Lions Club at 1339 Stittsville Main Street during their Electronic Waste Collection event.

The Lions Club members are prepared to take anything electronic. Here is a list of some items that will be accepted for recycling:

  • Display devices & remotes
  • old phones and cell phones
  • radios
  • televisions
  • desktop and laptop computers
  • printers and scanner
  • vcrs
  • stereos
  • a/v systems
  • photocopiers

If you require assistance with heavier or cumbersome items, Club members will be pleased to help by picking up the items. You can call 613-836-4964 between 6:00-9:00 pm on April 26th; or, on April 27 call from 9:00-noon. Don’t forget to leave your name and a return telephone number so a member of the Lions Club can get back to you.
