Most people in Stittsville know Nicole Chilton-Jones from the brilliant idea she brought to our community last summer – First Thursdays – an event she brought from South Africa whilst making Stittsville her home. Nicole is an Intern Architect OAA by profession and shared some good news with Stittsville Central.
Jim Bell, the President and CEO of Jim Bell Architectural Design Inc. has announced that Nicole will be joining his team in the position of Director of Design and Production. Nicole will provide her exceptional expertise and service when she collaborates with clients and the Bell design team during the progression of a project, while also instituting a larger commercial client base in the Ottawa area and the Ottawa Valley.
Jim commented, “We are delighted to welcome Nicole to our team. Her creativity and ability to communicate and collaborate will be an asset to our team and further enhance the relationships with our clients.”
Nicole is a creative designer with a passion for sustainability, innovation and problem solving. She brings a wealth of experience to her role directing design and production at Jim Bell Architectural Design Inc. Hailing from South Africa, Nicole headed up a division in one of the largest banking institutions in Africa. She and her team spearheaded Innovation and Design, managing the design of all new bank branches.
Since immigrating to Canada, she has worked on high-end residential and commercial projects with an Ottawa-based architecture firm. Her diverse experience includes CAD specialist for the FIFA World Cup and Technologist roles with major South African architecture practices.
This is a new and welcomed challenge for Nicole. “This a very exciting step in my career in Canada and I appreciate the opportunity to join Jim Bell Architectural Design Inc. I look forward to working with both Jim and his dynamic team in order to help expand the business throughout Ottawa and the Valley.”
With offices in Stittsville and Pembroke, Nicole will certainly bring and expand her creativity within this wider area. She will undoubtedly bring her creativity to the many custom design projects which Jim Bell and his team undertake.
