The Ottawa Airport was reporting wind gusts of over 70km/h around noon. Multiple power outages cut power to homes and businesses in Kanata, Stittsville, Goulbourn, and Nepean this morning. Hydro Ottawa blamed loss of supply from the provincial grid. There was also a power line was down on Sweetnam Drive.

At its peak, there were over 10,000 customers without power in our area, including Bayshore Shopping Centre. As of 1:00pm Hydro Ottawa reports no outages on their web site.
