Theresa Qadri will be the Liberal candidate in Carleton for the provincial election in June.

She won the nomination at an event this afternoon at South Carleton High School, defeating fellow contestant Kim Elliott.

Many Stittsville residents will know Theresa through her community volunteer work in Stittsville (Stittsville Food Bank, Rotary Club, and Stittsville Village Association), her work as a real estate agent, and co-owner of the old Showbiz Entertainment store on Stittsville Main Street. Her husband Shad is Stittsville’s city councillor.

She’ll face off against PC candidate Goldie Ghamari.  The NDP and Green Party have yet to pick a candidate to run in Carleton.

Election day in Ontario is June 7, 2018.

  1. Congratulations, Theresa. I knew you when you were seven or so. You are one of nine George sisters. I went out with Nancy briefly.
