U-Rock Music School will shine at CHEO awards ceremony

The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) celebrates their long-service staff at an annual awards celebration to recognize the dedication and contribution that these people have given back to the hospital. This year, on October 19, U-Rock Music School students have been invited to perform during the CHEO ceremony. An honour full of excitement for the school and students. Again, due to COVID restrictions, the ceremony is being held virtually for CHEO staff and family members.

Alex Munter will be the Master of Ceremonies and will be introducing the U-Rock’s stars. Two of those students are honoured to be performing live from their homes for the special broadcast – Katelyn Forsyth and Savannah Philpot.

Other shining stars from the music school will also be performing through featured videos that will play during the ceremony. Those also honoured to perform are: Aidan MacLeod, Jehna Rushton, Connor McRae, Gwendalyn Brown, Sophia Tarini, Mason Hartwick, Savannah Von Teichman, as well as the Crushers C band of fall 2020, Catherine Hnatiw, Abby Thompson, Keira Dixon, Ryan White, Rob White and Landen Slaunwhite.
