The Goulbourn Museum is holding two events this weekend. On May 25th come out at 1:30 p.m. to hear their retrospective of General Stores in Goulbourn – Reminiscences of the Village General Store. This is part of the Goulbourn Township Historical Society‘s monthly speaker programs. The presentation will be punctuated with artefacts and anecdotes. There will even be an interactive Price is Right activity that will test your knowledge of the cost of goods in 1902. Everyone is welcome! Parking and refreshments are free and the Museum is handicap accessible.

The second event being held at Goulbourn Museum is on Sunday, May 26. It is time to clean and cheer up the grounds of the Museum. Volunteers are needed to help out from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. You’ll be thanked with a pizza lunch and refreshments. Good opportunity for students to get those needed volunteer hours completed.

The Tamarack Race Weekend is on. Head to downtown Ottawa and cheer on some local Stittsville runners as they complete their respective races. If you hear a sudden roar here in Stittsville around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, it’s probably the Canadian Forces CT-155 Hawk making its way back to Ottawa International Airport after a flypast for the race.
