The Oasis in Kanata, for caregivers of people living with mental illness, will feature Michael McGee, a facilitator for non-violent crisis intervention with the Canadian Mental Health Association, who will speak about working with disruptive or violent behaviours. He will provide strategies families can use to manage violence related to their loved one’s mental illness. This free information session will take place at Glen Cairn United Church, 140 Abbeyhill Drive, in Kanata, on Monday, March 16, starting at 7 pm. All are welcome.
