R.E.A.C.H- Recreation Empowering Active Community Helpers is a youth initiative under our Youth Connexion program with the City of Ottawa.
Our goals are to provide a safe and fun environment for students to complete their 40 hours of community involvement while becoming active members of their community. We are aiming to help students make a difference in their community by providing events and activities for their peers and other age groups to engage all youth and make them active, respected members of their community.
Students will meet with their Youth Mentors weekly. During each meeting they will brainstorm how to get involved in their community by researching events to participate in, finding what youth are interested in, and more! Not only will students earn their hours doing something fun, they will be making a positive change benefitting youth in their area while developing the necessary skills to become an active member of their community.
