Ottawa Fire Services received a 911 call from a resident on Granite Ridge Drive reporting fire in their home on April 21 at 05:14 hours. Upon arrival fire fighters confirmed smoke visible in the two story detached home and declared a working fire.
The residents had evacuated safely with no injuries.
Fire fighters commenced a fast attack and had the fire under control at 05:53 hours. There were no fire fighter injuries and habitability of the home is not yet established. An Ottawa Fire Investigator is in transit to the scene. Cause and damage estimates are not yet available.
