Finding Banjo – recommendations if you see him

On the Finding Banjo facebook page set-up by the search team, friends and neighbours – https://www.facebook.com/groups/1117558466481347 – recommendations, noted below, are provided from Lori AnnJules Hauner and Mel Eene from the Ottawa and Valley Lost Pet Network who are working closely with Banjo’s owner, Everette Calverley, to bring Banjo home who has been missing for a week now.

Continue to watch for Banjo but stay away from areas he might be in as he is in survival mode now and people looking for him could push him out.

CALL Everette, Banjo’s owner, at 613-218-3945 but do not post on social media the location where you saw/are seeing Banjo. Please do not call his name or chase as it may be a trigger for fear and he will leave the area.

If you see him please provide:

  • Time
  • Date
  • Location
  • The direction he is travelling
  • What is he doing? Running, walking, nose to the ground?

These are very important as we need your eyes to help Banjo!! This will help Lori Ann to figure out his looping pattern.

Please do not call out to him or try to grab him but call the number provided immediately if safe for you to do so and take a picture if you can!

We must consider a dog in survival/flight mode to be like a fox/coyote….you look at them they will run, we are predators to them in this state of mind it’s built into them for their protection!

We trust the process of everything mentioned, will work!! Thank you Stittsville and area for helping us help Banjo!!
