There are two performances left for Kanata Theatre’s production of The Curios Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. February 14 and 15 – the curtain opens at 8:00 pm both evenings at the Ron Maslin Theatre at 1 Ron Maslin Way off Terry Fox Drive. The Goulbourn Township Historical Society is holding their Heritage Day event at the Stittsville Library – Grace Thompson Meeting Room – from 1:30 – 4:30 pm. Drop by to their interesting display of working tools that may have been used by your ancestors. Try to figure out their use in the home and for chores. If you have an old working tool that you would want to show and possibly identify — bring it along and together we might figure it out! While you are there, check out the Art Space wall to see the photo display put together by GTHS of additional antique working tools. The event is FREE and all are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
Join in on the Potluck dinner and Games Night taking place at Stittsville United Church. Always good family fun and everyone welcome. The dinner starts at 5:00 pm with games to follow.

Take a drive over to our neighbours in Richmond and join Carleton MPP, Goldie Ghamari, who is hosting her Family Day Breakfast and Skate at the Richmond Arena from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Always a down home good time with Goldie! Don’t forget to bring your CSA helmet for those kids under 10 who plan to skate. Come out for a bite to eat, a skate and say hello to Goldie – she’d love to see you!
From 1:30 – 4:30 pm, Allan McCarville, published Stittsville author, and Joseph Carbonetto, author and host of Stittsville Haunted Heritage Tours, will be hosting a special afternoon readings, Q&A and a formal introduction of “Legends, Folklore and Other Tales: Stories of a Haunted Stittsville PARTS 1 and 2”. This haunting event takes place at the Stittsville Public Library in the Grace Thompson Meeting Room.

Carleton MP – Hon. Pierre Poilievre is holding his annual Family Day Breakfast and Skate at the Johnny Leroux Arena from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. It had a really good turnout last year – come out and say hello to Pierre and his family – celebrate Family Day!
Have some Family Day fun at the CardelRec Recreation Complex – Goulbourn from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Activities are free unless indicated. Councillor Gower is hosting the free skating from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Lots of activities to keep you busy all day from skating to swimming, fitness to kindergym, crafts and games, get a photo at the Goulbourn Museum photobooth to top your day off!

The next meeting of the Stittsville Goulbourn Horticultural Society is at 7:30 pm at the Pretty Street Community Centre. It promises to be a colourful evening as the winning entries of the 2020 Photo Competition are featured in a slide presentation. Guests are free. Membership is $15 per year, $25 for families.
