Stittsville second annual pumpkin parade is set for 6:00pm-7:30pm at Village Square Park (Abbott & Stittsville Main).
The day after Halloween, residents are invited to bring their jack-o-lanterns to the park and put them on display. Last year there were 200 pumpkins — not bad for the first year.
I came up with the idea last year as a way to keep the community spirit alive in Stittsville,” says Trevor Eggleton. “I moved here four years ago with my young family and really love its small town feel, but as the big city starts to creep in, I wanted to create something that the people of Stittsville could see themselves in, and this seemed like a perfect way.”
