Seedy Saturday – Stittsville Goulbourn Horticultural Society

Seed packages from Local Horticultural Societies are 50 cents. Good Food, baked treats, and outstanding garden vendors.

Seedy Saturday is a nice event to teach your kids about gardening and to pick up some seeds to start off the new garden season!

Your ideal spring launch at the Carp Farmers Market area! Hosted by the Carp, Kanata, and Stittsville Horticultural Societies, this popular annual event brings together gardeners, seed enthusiasts, and community members to celebrate local growing, sustainability, and neighborly connections.

Explore a fantastic selection of seeds from local vendors only; including heirloom, heritage, and hardy varieties perfect for your garden this season. Warm up with delicious homemade treats: hearty chilis and nourishing soups, cookies, muffins, and other sweets, along with tea and coffee.

Proceeds from the event will support the three local food banks, helping provide essential assistance right here in our communities.

Whether you’re swapping seeds, picking up supplies, getting expert advice, or simply enjoying the friendly atmosphere, this is a wonderful way to kick off the growing season and show your support for local food security.

Come connect, get inspired, and start growing — watch our video to experience the vibrant energy these members of the horticultural societies bring to our communities, meet the vendors, and see why Seedy Saturday is such a beloved tradition!

Admission: $2 (cash only) — your ticket includes 3 entries for fantastic door prizes!
