The Stittsville Food Bank received a donation of over $2,000 from the First Stittsville Scouts, Cubs and Beavers. The proceeds came from their annual apple day fundraiser.
“Scouts, Cubs and Beavers do a tremendous job in volunteering their time in collecting and sorting food for the Stittsville Food Bank,” says Theresa Qadri, chair of the Stittsville Food Bank. “I am amazed at all their hard work and all of us at the food bank are very grateful.”
“They will be starting up their winter drive in November and the Girl Guides will be joining them again this year. Stittsville is very fortunate to have these groups.”
