WE REMEMBER: Here’s what’s planned for Stittsville’s Nov. 11 ceremony

Here’s what’s planned for the Remembrance Day ceremony in Stittsville on Friday, November 11.

  • The parade from the Stittsville Legion (1481 Main St) starts at 1:45 pm and travels to the Cenotaph located at the Johnny Leroux Arena.
  • Remembrance Day Service will commence at 2:00pm. The Sergeant at Arms and Parade Commander roles will be done this year by Mike Fenton.
  • Silver Cross Parents are Richard and Claire Leger.  Their son Sergeant Marc Leger died in Afghanistan in 2002.
  • Following the service the parade will return to the Stittsville Legion via Main St where everyone is welcome for refreshments and entertainment.
