Here’s what’s planned for the Remembrance Day ceremony in Stittsville on Friday, November 11.
- The parade from the Stittsville Legion (1481 Main St) starts at 1:45 pm and travels to the Cenotaph located at the Johnny Leroux Arena.
- Remembrance Day Service will commence at 2:00pm. The Sergeant at Arms and Parade Commander roles will be done this year by Mike Fenton.
- Silver Cross Parents are Richard and Claire Leger. Their son Sergeant Marc Leger died in Afghanistan in 2002.
- Following the service the parade will return to the Stittsville Legion via Main St where everyone is welcome for refreshments and entertainment.
