UPDATE, December 19: “It is with great pleasure that we announce that the Knights of Columbus have SOLD OUT all their Christmas trees for the year. We are thankful for all who came out and supported our causes such as the Stittsville Food Bank and Sacred Heart High School Burseries for deserving students.

This is the first time in 10 years that the Knights have sold out all their trees. Those who still wish to pick up a tree in time for Christmas can go to Holy Redeemer Parish on Eagleson Road as they still have a few trees left.

Special appreciations go to all the Knights that braved the cold to get out and sell trees. Most of all; Jason Michaud and all the staff at Open Roads Trailer and RV sales for the donation of the trailer so we could keep warm on those evenings and weekends. Open Roads has been donating a trailer every year for this event, and we don’t know what we would do without them. Thanks also to Suzanne Tate, from Market @ The Barn for allowing us to post our sign @ The Barn! Thank you so much for being a part of our Parish and Community charities!

Once again, a tremendous thanks from all of us for making our Christmas Tree Charity a success!”

The Knights of Columbus will be selling Christmas trees in the parish parking lot of Holy Spirit Parish at 1489 Shea Road (across from the Goulbourn Rec Centre) this weekend through to December 23.

The trees are freshly cut Balsam Firs and they range in height from 6 feet to 8 feet. The cost of the trees is $45 each, and all proceeds go to support local charities in the Stittsville community, such as the Stittsville Food Bank and burseries for Sacred Heart High School students.

Everyone who purchases a tree will also receive an entry for a pizza dinner night compliments of JoJos Pizza. The draw for the pizza night will be done after the trees have been sold.

Please come out and support your community by purchasing a fresh tree for Christmas! Hours are weekdays 5pm-9pm and weekends noon-9pm.
