Bill Martin and Sue Lambe of the Hometown Team, Century 21 John DeVries Ltd. are busy with preparations for the 2nd Annual Karaoke for Cancer Awareness Fundraiser this upcoming Saturday.

The idea for the fundraiser came about last June when Sue was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. Last year the fundraiser generated over $3600 for the Canadian Cancer Society. This year all proceeds will be donated to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation’s Cancer Center.

The event includes an evening of Karaoke, a silent auction and a raffle on a hand made Cancer symbol quilt with rack. Bill and Sue are hoping this years event will be even more successful then last year’s. But they can’t do that without your help. If you are looking for something to do this Saturday night, why not join them along with some of your fellow neighbours at the Stittsville Legion. Sure to be a fun night out while raising money for a great cause.
