The City of Ottawa has received a Site Plan application to permit the development of two new retail buildings at 333 Huntmar Drive in the southwest corner of the Tanger Outlets site.
The development will consist of two new retail buildings (shown in the map above as buildings 14 & 15), one with a drive-thru. In her email newsletter, Kanata North Councillor Marianne Wilkinson said that the buildings will be home to a Starbucks and a steakhouse. (If you’re exiting the Queensway on the Palladium Drive off ramp, the new buildings would be directly to your right at the traffic lights.)
According to the application: “The first building is a one-storey restaurant with a drive-through facility. The building has an area of approximately 2,200 square feet and an outdoor commercial patio of 450 square feet. Building 15, located just to the south, is single storey restaurant with an area of approximately 5,000 square feet and an outdoor patio of approximately 350 square feet. The proposed plan removes 43 currently existing parking spaces and proposes a total of 103 new spaces. No new accesses to the parking are proposed as a result of the revision. The subject property has a full movement access to Campeau Drive in the north and right-in/right-out accesses to Palladium Drive and Huntmar Drive on the west and east sides. A future vehicular and pedestrian connection is also planned to connect to the Phase 2 lands located south of Feedmill Creek.”
