Stittsville restauranteur James Clarke of The Glen (pictured above with his mom Kathleen McConville) plans to open a restaurant at the Amberwood golf course called “ALE Amberwood Lounge & Eatery”.

“I am helping ALE get off the ground. The Glen will remain my focus. Between the new golf ownership and restaurant, this place will be great for the community and west end. Excited for both TMSI and ALE groups,” he wrote on Facebook.

TMSI is Thunderbird Management Services Inc., who recently took over management of the golf course. The restaurant has been mostly shut down this winter, except for special events. Previously the space operated as Bistrofiftyfour, and before that it was the Wild Wood Steak & Chop House.

The restaurant is hoping to do a soft launch in early April.

More to come…
